AGATA

AGATA is a Polish-American R&B/Pop recording singer, songwriter, record producer, author and entrepreneur. The name Agata is Latin and Celtic in origin, and means, "good", "kind" and "pure".

She was born in the beautiful city of Wadowice, Poland and emigrated to The USA, where she obtained US citizenship.

Agata's father, himself a musician, encouraged her to compose and sing her own songs. As a child, Agata traveled around the world, performing before thousands of people.

In 1999, Agata released her debut studio album Save the Empty Space, which included singles like "Save the Empty Space" and "Gracias Amor". The album sold well and put her on the map as a recording artist.

She released her second studio album in 2000, AGATA: Wesolych Swiat/ Witaj Jezu/Koledy (translation: "Merry Christmas/Welcome Jesus/Polish Christmas Carols). "Witaj Jesu" was written by Agata in collaboration with Lila Ciecek. The album also featured the beloved Christmas carol, "O Swieta Noc, ("Oh, Holly Night").

Her third studio album, appearing in 2001 and produced in Spanish, was entitled AGATA: No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti ( "Cannot Live Without You") which featured the hit singles "Para Ti" and "No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti". The album reached thousands of people and earned Agata major recognition in the Latino music market.

In 2005, Agata released an album of songs with spiritual themes, Naucz Nas Zyc (Teach us to Live"), dedicated to John Paul II (Karol Wojtyla, before he ascended to the Papacy), who had been born in her home town. This album sold well worldwide, and was re-mastered and re-released in 2012 under the title, Naucz Nas Zyc, a deluxe edition in memory of John Paul II.

Agata's songs of passion and heartbreak have had an undeniable impact on listeners all over the world. She has said that "life without music is like life without love and believes that music is a gift from God that must be shared with all.
